                      Trim Bowls Club .
                              Constitution.
TITLE.
The name of the club shall be Trim Bowls Club, herein after known as “the club”.

OBJECTIVES.
The objective of the club is to foster and promote the game of indoor short mat bowling,
at both a social and a competitive level.

MEMBERSHIP.
Membership is open to all, having been proposed and seconded by members in good standing and accepted by the unanimous vote of the Council. Membership shall include Adults, Families, and those under 21 years (Junior members). Where a Junior member is attending full time education, the age limit shall be raised to 24 years.

COUNCIL.
The Council shall be composed of the Hon. President, Chairman, Hon. Secretary, Hon. Treasurer, and Selectors (3 number).
In the event of a vacancy occurring the council shall co-opt a replacement.
A council member who absents himself/herself from three consecutive meetings without valid excuse shall be deemed to have resigned from the council.
A delegate shall be elected annually at the AGM to attend meetings of Meath Zone of The Irish Indoor Bowling Association.
Two ordinary members shall be elected at the AGM as Hon. Auditors of the club.

FINANCE.
The club shall hold a bank account. Cheques shall be signed by the Hon Treasurer and Chairman or Hon. Secretary. A detailed Income and Expenditure Account shall be presented to the A.G.M. The nightly and annual subscription shall be fixed at the AGM and must be paid before year end. A member who provides transport for the club shall be reimbursed by team members at the same rate as the nightly subscription. All officers of the club shall be indemnified for any expenses incurred in the execution of their duties on behalf of the club.

MEETINGS.
All council meetings of the club shall be convened by the Hon. Secretary on the instructions of the Chairman. The Hon. Secretary shall inform the members of the date and time of the meeting. A quorum shall be four members. The Hon. Secretary shall keep the minutes of the meeting. The Council shall meet at least once each calendar month, unless there is not sufficient business to call such meetings..
The Annual General Meeting of the club shall be held during the month of March or April each year. Notice shall be given to all members at least ten days prior to AGM. Motions must be received by the Hon. Secretary at least ten days prior to the AGM. A Special General Meeting may be called by the Council or by not less than ten members of the club.
A quorum for the AGM shall be ten members. Voting at all meetings shall be a show of hands. A secret ballot may be held if requested by a majority of the meeting.


ALTERATION/AMENDMENT OF RULES.
No alteration, addition or amendment to the Constitution shall be made save by the consent of the majority of the members present at the AGM.
CHILD PROTECTION.
The club is fully committed to safeguarding the well being of its members. Every member should, at all times, show respect and understanding for their rights, safety and welfare, and conduct themselves in a way that reflects the principles of the game, and the guidelines contained in the Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children in Sport in Ireland.
